Born in Vienna as the son of a musically interested father, who himself played nine instruments, Robert Werner gathered his first stage experiences at the age of 4.

Besides the education as an art-, literature- and music salesman in the well known Viennese music house “Doblinger”, he finished his studies as an opera singer and pianist at the conservatory of the city of Vienna.

His singing teachers were Hilde Zadek, Franco Corelli, Gottfried Hornik and James King.

Parallel to the classical education at the conservatory, Werner was confronted with

big names such as Walter Hörler and Heinz Neubrand and was introduced to the world of jazz. His experience as a rock musician and jazz singer results from the foundation of his own band.

Werner’s classical career started as an operetta tenor at the Raimundtheater in Vienna. National and international performances followed as a soloist in musical and operetta roles.

The artist is a member of the Viennese opera, where he performed under famous conductors Herbert von Karajan and Carlos Kleiber.

Besides his engagement at the Viennese opera and the Salzburger Festpiele, Werner performs at several concerts nationally and internationally.

For years it has enthused opera ball and at the ball of the Viennese philharmonic of guests and colleague as a pianist in the Viennese. His repertoire reaches from classical music, jazz, film hits and musicals to his own compositions.

Whether as a solo artist at the piano or supported by the orchestra of Axel Rot, Robert Werner’s fans are always fascinated by his musical talent, his voice and his personal expression on stage.

Over the past years, Werner got devoted to his own compositions, which he brought to perfection with the help of composer and conductor Ulf-Diether Soyka of the conservatory in Vienna.

His rhythmic and lively compositions add up to his amazing program arrangements. Besides, the artist composes for several colleagues, such as Jose Carreras and the Italian figure skating star and European champion Carolina Kostner. The piece “Solamente per Carolina” is always appreciated at international exhibitions and competitions as one of the musical highlights of the event.
